Issue no1;:(
Charging at 15.5V (14.8V with lights disconnected),killed a 4yr old battery, replaced with new, same charge rate.
Had a look at the brushes OK.
Is a new regulator required?
(THREEHUNDREDANDFRIKKINWHAT?[B)] for a diode and a resistor).
Issue no2; Slipping in second gear.[xx(]
Replaced 2nd/5th and shift forks with second hand bits about 2 years ago.
Just scored a brand new shift drum from eBay USA $98Aus shipped.:D
Any good sources of OEM bits?
Anybody used Factory Pro shift kits?
Any body used these bits? http://www.robinsonindustriesinc.com/html/products.html.
(Quoted $250US shipped for 2nd/5th gearset.)
Probably worth doing a camchain/rings/bearings/valvestem seals while I'm in its guts.
Issue No3:
Nail in the back tyre, easy fix but it's not going anywhere.
Isn't that a sad story.[V]
Should just put a battery and some fuel in my GS1000 and ride that.:D
