My plan was to buy a crashed Gixer 1k k 7-8 or a Fireblade 08 or newer but I got inpatient and couldn't resist when this low km gixer 1k k8 in perfect condition came up for sale nearby.

The plan is to strip it, make it confy for two up riding.

For this to happen, it have to loose the faring and clip'ons and get dirt bars instead. It will also need to get the rearsets and footrests for the passenger lowered and the seats will get some more foam and the original tail might need some reshaping.

I am now purchasing parts and to day I found a protaper 28mm fatbar and some mirrors I can make work in a local parts shop. They didn't have any risers left in stock, but they will be available next week.

Time for a little update.

The risers has arrived so now we finally can see how it looks with dirtbars.
I have bought longer brake and clutch hoses.
Last Saturday I picked up a Acerbis Cyclope mask 300 km from here, so things are finally taking shape.
I have also started fabricating lower passenger footrests.

Thanks Gix 11.

Could any of you help me posting Photos?
It seems like a hit and miss affair, if the enter or not. I read on another forum that you copy and paste the ulr code, but it doesn't seem to work here.

Sure mate, look at your post above. All I did there was copy your photo link, then click the IMAGE icon (hover over the icons in the posting window to see which one that is. It looks like a tree in a window), after that another window opens and because you have the URL of the img that is hosted somewhere else, all you do is click the FROM URL tab and enter the link into that box. After that untick the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" box (as this just copies it to our server and makes it really small) then click OK.

Just copy all your URL links from your photos and do what I just said. Jobs done.
