Hi guys and girls.
I have been lurking here for quit a while now, but now I have bike for a project, so I think it is time to be a little active on this forum. I'm a 50 year old guy from Denmark now living in Brazil. I have been without a bike for the last 4 years, because I sold my beloved 91 gixxer 750 when I moved from Denmark to Brazil. The good thing about this is there are a lot of good mountain roads here and it is possible to ride all year round here, instead of the 7-8 months a year I'm used to in Denmark.
I have for a while been looking out for a crashed Gixxer 1k k7-8 or a Fireblade 08 and up, for a naked project. However last week I found a gixxer 1k k8 in mint condition with only 7500 km on the counter for a fair price.
The plan is to build a comfy and naked bike for two up riding, so out with the hacksaw and DW. I will post a build thread when I start, and when I learn how to use photo bucket and post pictures.
