Chain guard broke or had been broken for some time :o !

and the front sprocket thought it would be a good idea to start eating the bit off chain guard as they came loose and store for safe keeping other bits of chain guard in the front sprocket cover ...

the green bits in the sprocket holes are from the chain guard :rolleyes:,
