When i was younger at 17 there were these bunch of guy`s in my area that rode these hugely loud bikes.The year was 1983[^] funny thing was they ALL had straight arm`s when attempting land speed records in my street & suround`s[}:)] Later i obtained an apprentaship & found myself working with one of these nutter`s,VANDIE we did party;)
They consisted of VANDIE gs1000s,MAX gsx1100,GOOSE gs1000s,SPEWIE gsx1100s(kat),JONESY gsx1100/1471,HERBIE gsx1100/1340x5 gassed up & some Honda rider that ya neva heard commin,& me well i had the RD250 or RD400 to choose from in that herd to be heard[8)]

Ahh,the topic is read 100 times & there`s two responces.I`m not looking for any sort of recognition.But i thought that if any members here remembered the"good old day`s" then that may strike a cord in the heart of a motorcyclist.See back then the bikes demanded respect & YOU KNEW that you where riding one.This site is about bikes & the people that ride them.Crazy,Mad,Stoopid,Imboslilic,Childiish,Nutter `s you get the picture.I ride motorcycles,always have done & always will,till they put me in a box or write up the report.I left this site due to the barrage of shit from other members & yup i can give it out aswell.
I was out riding with some old friends to day & after having a ball we approached the lunch stop.I was showing the way with the 312R looming in the mirror`s.Left,right a long one.Only one of us got thru.
No guy`s i`m not pissed or on the hammer(icy pole)I`m just sick of it.This rider nearly took me out.
SO,it`s not about who you are? Or the sick bike with all the shit hang`n off it.But what you do.
There are members here that can "peddle" & i respect them & i have no problem RIDING with them.
Making sand castle`s is another thing.Yes mundy is the Goblin but not many wood understand.That has been exemplified.
The old days? bring em back!
