Just joined today so I thought I better introduce myself. I'm Jamie. Reside in Brisbane. I have been riding for the last 2 years. Purchased a 2012 250 ninja in May 12. Took me a year to get off my backside and get my RE license. One year to the exact date I went and got my R's on a gsxr1000. The ride home on the 250 was rather depressing after being on the gixxer! It was time to pull my finger out and start rebuilding the 98 cbr600f3 I have had sitting in my bedroom for almost the last year.

It took me a while to decide what I wanted to do with it. Bike needed full fairings; headlight, radiator and also an instrument cluster.

After much thought I decided to keep it as a naked. Ebay USA has been my friend for the radiator. Exorbitant prices in AUS for half mangled radiators. Ended up picking one up delivered for $200 aud. I'll be fitting a trail tech vapour instrument cluster on it and looking at Dominator headlight (or something similar if I can find one at the moto expo this Sunday).

The wiring loom was hacked a bit unfortunately. Not knowing all that much about how a bike works is at times very trying. Give me a spanner and I'll help you pull an engine apart. Throw me a wiring loom and I run for the hills.

Always willing to learn new things so if anyone has any suggestions I am always open. If we have a resident bike electrician I'd love to meet you lol

Bike will be matte black with hot pink accents. My ninja is gloss black with hot pink wheel trim and hot pink Kwaka and Ninja decals.

Can't wait to see Y'all on the road in the very near future!

Went to the Expo on Sat. Scored some free tickets. The expo was ok, but the racing at the end was awesome. Loved it

Back again. Life has been hectic.

Quick update on my progress.


1. Picked up a set of dominator headlights in matte black.

B. New rear indicators purchased.

3. Vapor trail tech electronic cluster and dashboard rocked up from America yesterday. Squealed like a little girl when this rocked up!

D. Awaiting the Haynes manual I ordered so I know what all these wires are with no plugs are for.

If I knew what the fudge I was doing with wiring I could have her running this weekend. *sigh*
Anyone know a mobile auto/bike electrician? Or someone that could be persuaded with a couple of cartons of grog? ;)

Should I start a build thread?

Ps. Bike show was shit. Such a disappointment to be honest. I took cash ready to buy parts to be told "sorry, this is a trade stand only; we aren't selling anything today". Walked away extremely disappointed.

P.p.s Gix11....Style? Not sure. Throw stuff on and hope it looks good lol. No method to my madness. I'm currently trying to figure out what kind of mirrors I want. Do I go with bar end mirrors or koso or rizoma tomok style mirrors?!?
