Great news.
Should be nation-wide but this is a good start.

Starts 1st of July this year, so don't get too excited tomorrow.

Have any of you actually been pulled for lane-splitting?
If we didn't lane-split in the UK, we'd never actually get anywhere...

Some have. One of them was doing a stoppy at the time as well. They didn't like that much.

I have a couple of times.
But it was officially for overtaking on the left. On one occasion I was heading up the breakdown lane at about 40kph past stopped traffic on a motorway when a cop car hammered up behind me. I know which one was more dangerous....

The new nsw laws (I think) state no filtering above 30kph, and no filtering by l and p platers, only full licence riders, plus a few other rules that seem common sense and surprisingly, quite fair.

Yeah I've been pulled for that too.Same as Hooligan though classed as overtaking on the left. Cop said he could have done me for lane splitting and not indicating my intention as well but "only" did me for overtaking on the left. Still, it was a $175 and two demerit point sting though.

Quite common up here in Qld.
Gympie road near my house is a regular hot spot.

Never seen a ticket for lane splitting,
but it's impossible to do it without breaking several existing laws.

Can't remember but something like....

2 vehicles in on lane,
Passing on the left,
Passing too close,
Crossing solid line (at lights)
Changing lanes without indicating,
several others.

Cops normally use one of these.
