Brnad new calipers are cheaper than servicing the old uns with a dealer service kit !!!

Wheels are being powder coated satin black right now, then having new Avon Storms fitted upon return.

Trying to find a 4 into 1 zorst has been fruitless so far.

Calipers came from DK in England at £225 UK sterling.
Although they arent listed on the website for some reason.

Maybe you can get them in Aus too ?

After looking again in detail at the site, well as best you can in Japanese, it appears only to be in 400cc form. So maybe its a Jap market only bike? They always ahd loads of 400cc bikes just for their own market although a few did leak out into the rest of the world as grey imports.

and yr bike is 2 clean mines under a pile of dust with parts lieing around it i really should make a start
i picked up a whole gsxr 1300 rear end 2 convert 2 mono and its just sitting there (cant wait 2 see a 190 rear tyre on there) lol

from mem the busa arm is only 10 mm longer in swing
the probs are that the pivet axel is bigger dia on busa and at a 190 tyre (biggest that will fit with out chain hitting frame)
i will have 2 take 5-7 mm of sproket witgh and add 3-5 on engine sproket (not 2 hard)
i still have 2 measure up mounts for shock etc but know it can be done, a bloke of the zephyr forum (he was in dec street fighter mag)
has a srad 750 arm on his 1100.
i think a zephyr with nothing under that z9 style duck tail but a big fat low profile trye is just going 2 look horn. lol
and by going new rims i wont have trouble finding good rubber for the pionty end. do u get stcky 18 tyres over there?
the 1100 rims are off the kwaka gtr 1000 of the same vintage and are prety heavy so a bit of pork of cant be 2 bad lol

I`m putting Avon Storms on it same as for the Busa so yeah pretty good tyres.
I just do`nt wanna mess around with the zeph too much, its the 80s throw back in me says keep it fairly stock.... just making it a more modern retro :D

Getting the wheels back this wednesday.
Tank, side panels and tail unit off to the painters...lime green.
Gonna paint the motor black and repolish the polished bits.
Earls oil cooler and hoses.
New handlebars, new mirrors, hate the old ones.
Just need the 4 into 1 and spend some time....... :)

Love it......... bike therapy ! Its good.
