Wheel hub width query

Long story short. As I now no longer need a cable driven speedo I now no longer need a speedo drive from my front wheel.
I am using GSX-R 1000 2007 front forks and calipers with an early 1200 Bandit front wheel. It occurred to me that as I no longer need the speedo drive from my front wheel that maybe I could just slot in a 2007 GSX-R front wheel and discs.

Thing is though I had custom triple clamps ( or yokes in old money) made up and do not have the measurements to hand at the moment as my bike is on the other side of Melbourne. It was pointed out to me that the yokes may have been made specifically to accomodate the Bandit front wheel and if the Bandit front wheel hub is a different thickness to the GSX-R wheel hub then the GSX-R front wheel will not be a straight swap.

After market discs are a bit limited for the Bandit wheel but there are many and varied after market discs for the GSX-R wheels.

So, can anybody tell me the width of the Bandit hub and the width of the GSX-R hub where the disc carriers bolt on to. Hopefully they are the same thickness and if so then hopefully I can start looking for GSX-R wheels and discs. ;)

OK so from that I'm assuming that the GSX-R wheel is wider and would need to be machined down to make it thinner as per Bandit wheel?

But still does anybody know what the actual wheel hub widths are?

Should read pre lol
It's the distance between the disk not so much the hub width
Fork center width on yokes denotes the centers of disk
So there are a few ways to fix, I had a note book on all the measurements
but I lost it :-( do u know how many bikes I measured up....
There are a few tables floating the web with most of info u need

From memory the distance between the inner faces of the discs on a K series wheel is approx 128/130mm the centres between the forks are 207mm on the K series and 214mm on the Slingshot/TL/Busa/SRAD with a similar distance between the discs.

I have 1990 triples with 2002 forks and the 1989 wheel.
2002 disc's on the 89 wheel and 2002 calipers.
I made these to fit it up, disc spacers, new axle and new axle nut.

If you have no luck with OEM parts i can help you out.

You might be lucky enough to just need a couple of small spacers.

There's not a lot of meat to spare around or underneath the disc mounting faces on Suzi wheels so machining should be your last resort, you don't want to take more than a mm or 2 off there - & if you do take some material off there you'll need to either endeepen the counterbores in the wheel by the same amount (reduces available thread area so not recommended) or turn a bit off the shank of the disc bolts so the bolts don't bottom out when you put the discs back on.
Or you can be a bodgy cunt & put washers under the bolt heads... like I did :rolleyes:

Better to use flat (no offset) discs & politely ask the Boy Of Lathe or the Mean Dean Machinist to knock you up some spacers.

I reckon you'd start with round bar - easy enough to order short lengths through Action.

It was round bar, 6061 T6 .... Ø110.00mm FMS

Thanks for the input folks and yes Ivan that table is useful as it's got the measurements for the distance between the inside faces of the discs for the 2007 GSXR. I'll get the fork centres of the triple clamps measured up and I should be able to calculate from that.
