so I sold a 355ci motor I was building for my vh commo that I had sold earlier so what to do with the money before it gets smashed on bills and the like well I wanted another bike so I bought dazza's yzf750 just before xmas and with much thanks to trav for checking it out on his way home from the xmas drags a deal was done and it was transported to WA , after much searching of the net and this forum I found out caotic was the original builder but most of the pictures were missing being from the old forum , and having no luck in being able to get in contact with him just to find out a bit of history about the bike , basically all I know is it won a xmas drags one year has fancy paint and bulk powder coating and it run well

so how it sits today
http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j477/hyofighter/IMG_0121_zps0ff9f225.jpg (http://s1087.photobucket.com/user/hyofighter/media/IMG_0121_zps0ff9f225.jpg.html)

so there are a few things on the list to go
firstly is the headlights there horrid
http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j477/hyofighter/IMG_0496_zps697edf0b.jpg (http://s1087.photobucket.com/user/hyofighter/media/IMG_0496_zps697edf0b.jpg.html)

second is the pipe I hate the bend and the tip but im not sure what to do there yet maybe a shorty or a underslung
http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j477/hyofighter/IMG_0494_zps124501d7.jpg (http://s1087.photobucket.com/user/hyofighter/media/IMG_0494_zps124501d7.jpg.html)

also to go is the bars , in favour of some flat fat bars prob some snowmobile jobs as there nice and wide , new levers and some new ressies , mirrors and a digital dash
http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j477/hyofighter/IMG_0495_zps8552e2c6.jpg (http://s1087.photobucket.com/user/hyofighter/media/IMG_0495_zps8552e2c6.jpg.html)

then I do like the paint but its to black and grey all over so orange I thing will go well to break it up
http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j477/hyofighter/IMG_0498_zps959fbe9f.jpg (http://s1087.photobucket.com/user/hyofighter/media/IMG_0498_zps959fbe9f.jpg.html)

I like it. Should be even better when you're done.
What's the seat covered in?

I like them lights but I'd guess they don't do a great deal.

If I had a YZF750 in the shed it'd be done like a Suzuka endurance bike, but with as many cubes (R1?) stuffed into it as possible...

Those cheapo levers are great. I bought some Pazzo ones a few years back and went the cheap option this time. As far as I can tell they are pretty much the same. I'm glad I didn't waste my money on the "good" ones.

ive been thinking about the flat bars for a while now they look sweet, where you buy them and how much$$$

hyofighter
03-05-2014, 10:26 AM
Matty those bars are snow mobile bars Fly snow x bars from memory about 100 bucks landed from the usa

rightio has been a while since a update so here goes

the rest of the parts had turned up , i had ordered 2 different head lights but one turned up smashed so was no good to use , the other was a enduro style one not a huge fan but i improved on its look with some carbon wrap and some more orange dusters

http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j477/hyofighter/20140316_210631_zps105bb87b.jpg (http://s1087.photobucket.com/user/hyofighter/media/20140316_210631_zps105bb87b.jpg.html)

then it was time to lift the tank and find out what wiring nightmares lurked below , turns out not to bad , dazza pretty much just unplugged his acewell and left the rest there so a small tidy up and a couple of plug swaps the new acewell was hooked in , fit up cheap ebay anodized ressies and the head light she was starting to look the part up front , knocked up a number plate bracket and indicator mounts to finish although indicators are not mounted yet , take it for a spin in the yard at work and i was pretty happy with it for a cheapy build that is now i cant wait to rego it and ride it

long time no update , so it regoed passed with flying colours-ish and man its fun to ride , bit of a flat spot coz the airbox has been butchered but its like riding a 2 stroke compared to the vfr wrap it on nothing nothing nothing all , that muffler is gone I made up a new link pipe to that vance and hines pipe I cut down for the dirt dragger , its sounds awesome loud as all hell but

http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j477/hyofighter/20140827_162156_zps46f6a47a.jpg (http://s1087.photobucket.com/user/hyofighter/media/20140827_162156_zps46f6a47a.jpg.html)

so I took it out for the charity run and after a spirited run I lost my yoke nut , wtf howd that happen haha o well new one on the way with a bolt kit from probolt

so last update for this girl , the anodized stem nut and engine bolt kit turned up and was fitted up turned out well and goes with the rest of the colour theme and the rest of the bolts were gone over to make sure there weren't anymore unwanted suprises

http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j477/hyofighter/20141101_232056_zps4c48ce53.jpg (http://s1087.photobucket.com/user/hyofighter/media/20141101_232056_zps4c48ce53.jpg.html)

so with a 1100ks ridden on it I was enjoying the bikes handling its lightness and sure was fun but I really disliked the power delivery when you were getting right up it , it was a bit nothing nothing nothing everything very 2 stroke like sure it was fun but the lack of bottom end wasn't doing it for me , and one other thing that bothered me a little was it was a great looking bike but it wasn't all me a bit of caotics a bit of dazzas and finally a bit of me so I couldn't take the credit for it as it really wasn't mine , so getting rid of it was playing on my mind , so one last outing for it to the Toodyay car and bike show where it stood out amongst the iron and then I started to think its time to move it on to fun a new project
