Update: Bike and spare engine all sold

The shed cleansing continues! This time it's my CBR400RR NC29 race bike and a number of spares and accessories. I have not ridden it for a few years so it's time to move it on, as much as I love riding this bike I just don't have the time any more. This bike is fast, it still holds the 400cc lap record at Eastern Creek (1:40, not with me on it) and used to hold the record at Phillip Island. I've never been out powered on the straight but this has been done by leaving the engine internals relatively stock which makes running the bike a lot cheaper and is a lot less expensive in case the engine lets go.

Cosmetically it's by no means pristine, I had a low side at Wakefield (fortunately on the slowest corner) so it could do with a decent paint job and some prep and fill on the LHS and tank. To be honest I revelled in have a bike that looked like an underdog but could blow past most people on the track.

The bike is a NC29 CBR400RR with 600RR body work, some of the non-standard bits are:
- HRC ignition system (more power and more revs)
- Full titanium headers and link
- AIM MyChron digital dashboard with auto laptimer and data logging (you NEED a laptimer of some sort if you're going to go fast)
- Ported and polished head
- 250GP two core radiator, no overheating problems which other hi-power NC29s suffer from
- Front forks by Racetech fitted with R6 cartidges, rear shock re-valved

It comes with a lot of spares, accessories and other bits and pieces. I'm sure I've forgotten lots but let start:
- the usual crash spares; levers, master cylinder etc
- Tyre warmers
- F&R stands
- F&R wet weather tyres
- spare front disks
- spare clutch steels, springs and friction plates
- spare sidecover and gaskets
- F&R gearing for all Australian tracks
- most of an engine inc cases for spares
- Fireblade rear wheel to allow 180 slicks, it will need machining and spacers to fit but this is a common mod
- spare screen and mudguard

I also have an entire spare motor which I'm not including in the sale but am happy to discuss. I bought this as an emergency spare to be able to drop in quickly at a meeting if I had engine problems but I've never needed it.

I'm look for $3,500. The bike is in Sydney's Northern Beaches

A much as Honda's are hated there's two cases where I'll happily own one; as a classic bike and as a race bike. I've had two Honda race bikes and they've been a dream to own compared to "that fucking Yamaha". They're reliable, easy to look after and fast, what's not to like?
