I have a 94 fire blade and a 97 VFR I want to build a everyday rider/fighter, the VFR is a more complete foundation both run just fine, both the PO's laid them down the blade was not rideable the VFR was rideable strictly cosmetic fairing damage. Which bike would you build and why, also are any parts interchangeable besides the ssa. Thanks for any and all input.

Fireblades have been done to death like bandits/gsxr's IMO so if you want to different go the VFR mate there are a couple of guys here that have nice VFRs that would give you some inspiration have a look at Hooligans and Hyofighters bikes .....oh and welcome

Thank you for the replies, never been a member here before ive been lurking on here, fireblade. VFRW, and VFRD so I'm trying to educate myself as much as possible, so the front end of the blade is a better product even considering it's older?

Ide go the VFR.

Better as a daily i reckon and like Rod said, less common.

vfr but i could be biased , either honda would be good ,parts interchangability on hondas is pretty good , heaps of models front end slip straight in the vfr frame same as the blade , the blade will have more go about it but i cant complain about the reliability of the vfr and the user friendlyness of bike , but as a few have said the blade has been done and now there are a few vfrs getting around too , my choice you still cant get any better than that v4 note

Blade looks better as a streetfighter and better performance ... I don't have one but I like them ...

Blade has been done to death ?

Yeah, because is a lot more fun.

Take a blade to the fight,
not the sensible allrounder.

I'd do the Vfr. But probably because I already have one and know how good they can be. And it's the best sounding bike I've ever owned.
Besides, it fun embarrassing people on a sensible all rounder.

It's also good having an excuse that it's a sports tourer, of course I couldn't keep up.

Remove trousers and inspect for grey pubic hair.
Present = VFR
Absent = CBR

I said keep up, not keep it up.

I have no grey pubic hair dan. Well, I don't think so; I keep the area in question waxed.

VFR as it'll get more people wondering WTF it is.

And I have one :D

I'd pick the Suzuki.
