View Full Version : Here's a crazy idea !

Driving into work this morning after an ace days riding on Sunday I had a crazy idea. How about all the Vic girls and boys, (Or as many as possible), drag their sorry butts out of the shed and actually go for a group ride like back in the good old days?

I know things have been said between a few of us and their are a few bridges to mend but what the fuck people !! Get the fuck over it and come for a blatt !!

No date in mind so open to suggestions. Please don't come back with any stupid remarks or personal bullshit, if you don't want in, then keep it to yourself.

If this fails then I might have myself a personal road trip.

Bridges???

I'm not in the know so have no idea what you speak of.

I am still chasing a noise on my bike after the drags, motor might be coming out.
If that's the case i'll stand on the side of the road and wave as you go past :)

Yeah I'm up for this. It is a strange one though and I will need to seek appropriate education on the meaning of "going for a group ride" and "going for a blatt".
A quick Google search comes up with some strange ideas such as " a group of like minded enthusiasts riding their motorcycles and sharing experiences engendering feelings of kinship and camaraderie. Apparently the more often enthusiasts partake in this particular phenomenon the the greater the feelings of kinship and camaraderie.

Another is " A collection of enthusiasts keen to explore the performance parameters of their chosen vehicle in an uncontrolled, undisciplined, unruly and outrageous manner".

Boxing Day would be good for me cause the other half wants me to drive up to Shepperton for the extended family thing. Something I would truly be keen to avoid.

Fuck me Simon, too much time on ya hands or what mate?
Pick one you like the sound of and go with it !
Personally, I will be trying to keep up with Timbo, having a few laughs, taking the piss and having the piss taken.
All beer, burnouts and giggles mate. (Take your pick from those three too). :D

I borrowed Turbo's lipstick and forgot to give it back so he pissed on my mocasins. I was stood on a bridge at the time and his rancid piss rotted it.

My December is booked solid but name the date in January & I'm in Geezer.
I should mention though, any time I've tried to rally the troops in the past I've been met with lots of definite maybes, possible certainties, feeble excuses, general apathy & CBFness - maybe your industrial strength charm & charisma will attract more takers...

Oh yeah, if we have to choose one of Simon's options, put me down for No. 2.

I'm thinking weekend 4-5th January 2014. That should give Deano time to plug his leak, Ivan gets time to rebuild the Smashinator and everyone else can flush the sand out of collective snatches.

Sounds like 5 for def just waiting on the other usual suspects like Trev, Shano, mossy etc to chip in then that's the cool kids accounted for.
Might do a beer with Timbo and get our google on to plan a route for the day and post up a map.

the further we deviate from the city the better for policeys IMO, like probably staying away from the spurs mainly.

OLD SKOOL BANDIT
10-12-2013, 11:55 AM
Aim for the 5th and I agree with Trav, spurs are not an option.
Prerequisites are: some twisties, some fast sweeping bits, good pit stop for grub and maybe a bevvie.

timbo
11-12-2013, 08:08 PM
Ok twisties yep I know some of them. Fast sweepers yep, can do them too, good place for a bite to eat, rehydrate, talk shite, yep I know one or two of them as well. I can't help with a root though. As for the rest or the so called Prerequisites I'm all over it like a fat kid on a lolly.

Just a thought...

The CCJMC are doing a decent looking ride out west on the same day (Jan 5) & I reckon we should all get in on that action (I see that KevKatana will be attending) & then do a Gippy ride the weekend after.

Or is 2 consecutive Summer Sunday rides pushing it for you poofters?

stiffsimon
26-12-2013, 09:31 AM
Gosh two consecutive weekend rides, when will I get the chance to polish my bike? The CCJMC ride sounds good. Do we need to be members or anything and will they accept British iron ;) along for the ride.

I've exchanged words with Shano, Timbo, Deano, Bryno, Simo & Ivo & nobody seems to care where we go so I'll shoot Pete a message to make sure he doesn't mind a bunch of Hoodlums tagging along on his ride - shouldn't be a problem, several of us are CCJMC members.
See the CCJMC Faceplace page for details on the ride but I reckon we'll meet up somewhere beforehand & turn up as a Punch (that's the collective noun for STREETFIGHTERS) - watch this fred for details.

If you guys are are on Facebook, check the pinned post on the CCJMC page. Meeting at BP Calder hwy @ 10am Sunday.

TurboKat
03-01-2014, 11:55 AM
The ride leaves from the BP servo outbound nex to Calder Park Raceway at 10am sharp, I'm aiming to get there around 9.30 so I can check out all the Classic & Custom Japanese Motorcycles before we leave.

For anyone South or South/East of Mordy, meet at my joint at 8.30 & we'll leave around 8.45 we can pick up the Easterners (Ivan, Simon, Timbo, etc.) on the Calder Freeway outbound at the end of the Bolte Bridge (under the Cheese Stick) at around 9.15.
I'd recommend the Eastenders meet at either Stevo's Ringwood or Mick Hone's then jump on the Eastern Freeway, all the way in, go around past the Cemetery, across Sydney Rd, round past the Zoo & get onto the Calder & pull over.

Howzat sound?

stiffsimon
