Hey y'all. Im quite new to modifying bikes and have just purchased my first fighter. I'm wanting to mate an aftermarket carbon can to the header, which is 58mm in diameter. I am looking at a fair few options and a lot of them are for 600/1000s which have inlet pipe diameters of 50mm thereabouts. Has anyone had an exhaust shop flare out the pipe on the can to make it fit and would there be any major hindrance of performance? Any input much appreciated!

Nope no hindrance that you'd notice. A 50mm pipe can flow several hundered Hp worth of air flow.

I put a can for a Suzuki gladius on my Vfr 800. I just got a link pipe made up to suit the different diameters from the Vfr headers to the gladius can. It'll work fine.
