As per title, does anyone know what work is involved in fitting a K1 GSXR 1000 swingarm into a 1990 GSXR 750L?

A measuring tape and a couple of mock ups, spacing and or cutting is usually involved.

Sorry I don't have precise answers for ya as Iv not done the conversion myself but hey thats Streetfighting.

I got a hayabusa arm into my pop up kat, so it is certainly possible.......

It's usually a matter of milling or spacers, either way it just depends on the width measurement. If it's crazy size difference, probably not worth the effort. Ben Shaw's theory is, anything will fit if you have the will to make it. Again, I've never done this mod your asking for so can't give correct details. Sorry mate.

Have you got the measurements for the frame gap and the arm pivot point?

I am slooooowly doing something similar, I have k4( I think) sitting in a 88 frame looks like I will need to make up some small spacers nothing over the top and a sleeve for the pivot axle. Everything else looks to line up OK

Look up Gibbo (member No. 1) in the members list & send him a PM, he's done the K1/2 swinger to Slingshot conversion.
I don't remember what he had to do the the pivot end but I know he used the std K dogbones to the Slingy frame mount & they were slightly too long so the rear sat a bit lower & the first 1/4 or so of the suspension stroke was a bit soggy so he was going to make some shorter bones.
HT allthread & rod ends would be better for the bones, then you can fine tune it to how you want it.
You'll need access to a lathe to make some spacers - that much is a given.
I'm pretty sure Ivan (Latheboy) made up either a new top shock mount or a riser block for the std shock mount for him for that conversion too.

Can be done - use the sleeves from the early arm and press into the sleeves of the later arm and can use the original spindle - will need to modify the top shock mount as it needs to sit more upright in the frame by pushing the top out from the frame - I was lucky on the 88 frame I had the top shock mount was removable so had a new one made

i'll try to dig up some picks but otherwise look up bladehunters cafe build thread as when I parted the bike it found a new home
