Hi all, thought id better make one of these threads.

After mucking around with cars for years I finally decided to pull my finger out and get my bike license earlier this year. Now on my Ps and will be till August 2014. As much as Id like to start modifying bikes now, Im going to try not to until I can do it to a proper bike.

I started off with a VTR250, unfortunately I had a little argument with some bitumen and broke it about a month ago. Just picked up a ducati monster 620ie dark to replace it last week.

I joined up here to have a bit of a look around at some tech threads and learn a bit more about how bikes are put together. Ive done a few engine conversions on cars, but things like a front end swap on a bike is pretty alien to me and its really not something I want to attempt and get wrong...

Agreed about the tail. I dunno why they designed them like that. I'll be changing that, but in Feb I dont have to show P plates anymore so Im not in a mad rush to do it until then.

Tail tidy and single seat are the some of the only mods I have planned. Im not certain about the seat though. I dont really like the idea of just putting a cover over the back half of it. Also dont really wanna go to the extent of changing the whole tail to something custom. There doesnt appear to be an easy middle ground, and if not I might not bother until its on a bike that I plan to keep a bit longer term.
