A friends new bike did the clutch in only 6000km and just wondering if anyone seen it happen before?

The workshop manager told me that the police bikes used to get new clutches after 700km of a training session and that he has another bike in thats done it in 2000km. refused warranty due to it being a consumable part! wasnt ridden hard at all!

Never seen it but you would think that a clutch would be covered at least up until it's first service interval, if that makes sense.

Yeah, but it was a postie bike.

They have a point unfortunately.
If you rode like a muppet and dragged the clutch everywhere then it is a possibility.

slipping clutch on a 96 bandit just over 1000ks, barnet springs fixed that one.

Aprilia RS125. Loved the bike but the clutch did die pretty quick
