Thats great:D:D
Yep, ian's the gun, he has helped me a huge amount!!
Got your e mail, Ill send you one of my alpha-n msqs today. You will have to adjust your required fuel tho as you have bigger injectors but you should be able to sort thaqt out pretty quickly with the wide band. Have you got a palm yet? Its easy to use Mslv's ve analyser and set up the target AFR table.:D

You should pull the secondary throttle valve shaft out and JB weld the holes up.

Then you can fit the velocity stacks inside the upper part of the thottles and sleeve them back to a good tapper or closer to parrellel.

Nice install..... the stacks are just for now, i am making a plenumn chamber at the moment, i will have a side air intake...ready for the turbo.

as for the nitrous...its already sold, you build one for about $500.
if you are interested i can pm you the details and how to do it. i had 170 hp at the back wheel with a 60 hp shot

Watch your side entry on a turbo plenum, ends up with uneven mixture requirements in transition to boost.

there isnt a lot of room once the tank is on, i only have a gap of 20mm to play with. i know i have to get it as central as possible

Whats clearance like on the rear?? how big is your plenum ?? i thought the FZR had a reasonable size airbox std, ?

pommie02
28-05-2008, 07:58 PM
there is no room to go forward, the plenum is going to be 75 x 75 mm box. the gap between the throttle bodies is about 20mm, i intend to use a rectangular section to give me the side exit. with the plenum and 55mm tubes connecting it i will have just over 2ltrs of volume.
being a streetfighter, i had to move alot of the bikes electrics, coils, cooling pipes and now my control unit...there inst much room left in the frame

As you can see...the bike still looks pretty much the same. but now i have my intake on the side, quick action throttle, pull cord stop cable, wideband controller for the fuel injection and a sigma speedo.
i have started to tune it....it goes hard, real hard.
not quite a busa turbo, but a close second best.
now for part 2....the turbo is going to happen. im thinking remote mounted, intercooled

Hi Pommie02

Absolutely no idea where that last post came from --- just registered and the cyber elves posted that at random for me ;->

I run a lightweight single seater race car in the Hillclimb and Sprint Champs here in Scotland powered by a tuned FZR1000 --- I'm just about decided to go for fuel injection via Gixxer750 TB's.

As you seem to have done just that (with the exception of my wanting to use the Megasquirt for the ecu) I'd be grateful for any pointers (what year TB's -- probs with fuel system mods etc) as your end result looks the biz and if I can avoid obvious mistakes along the way it'll help my budget and sanity.

Regards

K

hi gary, i think if u don't have enough space for a bigger plenum 'coz of the tank, u coud just relocate it to the center of ur bike or under the arse. noice stacks, are those stocky? rgds [}:)]
