So I have been running big red (25 cfm ) and my old puma 16 cfm compressors together to run the hydroblaster.
They are flat out to keep up with the hydroblaster, been hunting around, missed out on a few but this one turned up.....
I think it should do the job but I don't think I'll have any head room.....for $160 and a 40min drive it's worth the shot...
Super Shane has done it again with help removing for the trailer.... Might give it a rebuild before it goes into service

Well the compressor fits..... Just...
All hooked up. New oil, belts, and air cleaner.
For $160 and a extra $100 in parts for insurance it runs like a dream ;-)
I have run the hydroblaster higher psi then I could before and it keeps up
but at 100% duty. At norm psi it cycles. A bigger compressor (screw would be best) would be better
but for a $250 investment I couldn't be happier. With the two smaller units I had lots of moisture
with this unit there is none, so a very big bonus:-)) happy dance.....

Makes my 26 air cooled tourch much more user friendly....
I priced out the water cooled benzel I really wanted but at $850 I think
I'll stay with this for now lol

As a bonus this allows me to more easy to move into Pyrex cups etc if I feel the need.
They use a shit load of gas tho and unless I can't get the access I want out of this new set up
it's unlikely I'll move that way

It's not finalized yet but looks like I will soon be the owner
of a ex pro stock motor with a blown gearbox and cases for the right price :-)
It will be turned into the street motor for my zephyr build...
The head alone started out as a eddie Lawson eight plug head and that is before
it was turned into something that can make well over 240 hp in race trim.....
I am told it is the best kwaka based head in Australia before they turned to after market heads....
The rest is the same spec, the cases and box need to go in the bin but the multi stage, falicon crank
1500 bigblock are still all fresh from its last rebuild, same with head...
Don't think I can use the 44 mm lectrons on the street tho :-)
It won't be to hard to transform it into a smaller cam (still over 400lift but the 500+ lift cams in it were still making
power and torque over 11500 rpm on the dyno) and lower comp motor (just on or just under 10:1)

So the plot thickens...... Have been talking to the engine builder and found out the specs..... I'm still buying it, but we are looking at the work I need to do to street it...... Having a look though the week, there is a bloke building a very similar motor very interested in the whole motor for his build...... He has a head ready to go that prob flows only just over 30% less than this, it won't need new valve springs and resealing where the ports crest into the bucket reliefs every 6 mths ..... Not nearly as much fun I know but still a 170-180 hp motor with well well over 100 ft pound that I prob will fettle in house with some tricks..... Revving to under 10k on 91 Ron it should be interesting.... I don't mind all the machine work I needed to match the parts together but hate the on going maintenance to get it to live at highe kms..... Valve springs alone $300+ replaced like oil... I thought of keeping it for racing in comp bike but if I go racing I really want to do a blown injected bike like the one I'm building

Progress on front mount... Little bit of a mind fuck, all bends are on complex angles
therefore all those copes are complex angled. This mount also needs a removable mount
and clear both the tank and blower. Hopefully tonight a get a run at machining the mount.

If you don't mind me asking, why the BOV between the charger and the head? There's no butterfly valves between the head and the charger to create a sudden spike is there? Or are you just going to use it a pressure safety valve to safe guard an over boosting situation?

Bike is back in vic sorry mate, he might venture up here when it's sorted tho.
The good news is we might build a better one for ourselfs. We have most of the parts
but time and money will be the thing. It would have the power to run deep into the 7s
maybe even into the sixes.
There are some street customs we want to build first and a rebuild of one of the famous
phase 4 prody bikes to do before Bradford next year. Two weeks after that we on a plane
to Japan to visit the z owners, we will be visiting and spending time with rcm, bulldock
automatic and few others as well. Looks like this bike is just the start with any luck

finally had a bit of time to start the next phase of the lift table build and start the new fixtures needed to allow me to straighten tube frames......

one of the reasons this hydraulic 2 ton pallet lift table was in the scrap bin was that the shaft wear was so bad blew one of the rams and pushed the shaft into the cylinder. Before I started the original build was I satisfied myself that it could be repaired. Happy to report success

The original tube clamps I machined on my screw jacks I used on the drag bike build didn't suit how I wish to use them for street bikes. Lucky I had made them modular to allow different set ups. One of the next big steps is to build jigs for frame straightening. These jigs also need to be modular so they can be used on the fixture table (including other fixture tables I'm planning ) or be easily stored. Just need to find the time and decide on final design.

Workshop fixes today, the china made cold saw's soluble oil tank has been to small and a pain
in the arse from the first day I owned the machine. Just a simple catch can to increase

the old tap, reamer and machine tool shelve have been repurposed,
moved tooling, cut and weld steel work, happily tho the old shelve are a
perfect fit for the box's of jig tooling for the lift table.
managed to fit the lift table control unit and isolators behind in the dead space.

Ozzy, I have some anodised alloy parts (Gold Pazzo levers and a few others)
the normal caustic oven cleaner did nothing to remove the anodising.

How would they go in a vapour blaster ?

Sadly I doubt I'll be finished building the workshop before then but it's not that a silly idea
I was thinking of putting something on closer to when I'm finished, need to
have the bar and lounge area finished first. I have to straighten and repair two frames to pay for the timber
tops. Unfortunately I have to build the hardware to do so first while still building another 3 bikes here atm.

Right oh, have been in need of a bead blaster for some time now. Finally dropped some bills
on a ruff 2nd hand commercial machine that needed a rebuild. It's on the small side, cost
more than the same size hare and forbs machine and needed work. On the plus side the repairs
were easy, it's big enough for my needs, and with the work needed I did all the upgrades I wanted to
no matter what machine I could afford ($250 hand piece etc ). Extras are glass not plastic viewing, better
extraction and filtering, and a far superior result on far less bead. Still a few jobs to finish, a air dust gun inside
and a high flex suction hose ($100 ouch) to the hand piece.
