Ok guys I will start posting pics in the next week or so . Did some looking and theres heaps of room to lower the trailer by several inchs so the plan is to change out the existing leaf springs for a lower set as they are rated to take 2.5 tones , move the axle from the bottom to the too side and that should make the trailer lower and eaiser to load the drag bike . I will be gutting all 4 sides so making it open and flat . A front wheel chock set up and tool box and some paint and it should be all good

thanks heaps for all the help guys

Hey Kev,

Glad you are now sorted for a trailer that suits your needs albeit that you've modified yours. Sent you a pic of an option prior to your recent update via SMS but must have got a number wrong somewhere.

Basically just copy Jules trailer..6x4 drop down front with wheel chock....
You should be able to weld summat up that will do...

Yeah the trailer as it is , is a great unit so instead of forking out lots of money to get a trailer already done I can make this suit what I need which works out well for me

You don't even need to cut out the sides mate. Mine I made a front removable tail gate (just slides in) with a continuous base to though the A-frame so the bike fits on comfortably. At the same time I still have a box trailer if needed.

those springs you were talking about might be a bit much , the trailer i have only has 1tonne springs and with both bikes on it didnt budge makes for a bouncey firm trailer , im tempted to pull a leaf or 2 out or get a lighter spring pack so it has some give , out on the road now it sits nice on the good roads but get some shitty rough roads its bouncing and bucking

Yeah I think the springs are just a little bit overkill all good guys I have it sorted now its a trip to supecheap for the parts I need
