Turned some spanners on it this morning, installed some lowering links in the rear.

Dummy fitted a set of k series wheels, didn't weigh them but they feel a heap lighter than the originals. Even got my young fella doing a bit.

There will a bit of lathe work to get the wheels fitted properly, spacers etc but hopefully shouldn't be too much drama....

Just low for the moment mate. I'll do some research and lower the forks internally....

You can get lowering straps off the bay quite cheep.

Seen quite a few quick "stock" bikes running them.

Yeah I've seen the straps but this will be a dedicated strip pig so doing it once and permanently shouldn't be an issue. I don't even know if I'll be running the R1 front end or finding something else yet.

I have run strap and internally lowered.
Internally lowering is easy as and cheap also lets yo have some suspension travel aswell if is track only best way to do it.
I will be keeping an eye on this thread :)

How can it be fast enough its got dirty Yamahaha on the front to sow it down!I would run a gixer front end but I don't have one at the moment, do you have one you want to get rid of ? I could sent the R1 front end down, it would be a decent upgrade for one of those V-max's you have......
