As the subject says, How hard is it to fit a ZX9r engine to my 97 ZX7r street fighter?
I want more grunt and this seems the easiest way to acheive it?
Any info would be most appreciated
Thanks
Jake

I haven't heard anyone do this conversion...
Want more grunt - drop a turbo on - that would be an easier conversion with less engineering involved.

You dont want to put a 9 motor in there you want to put a 12 motor in there you do

if you do a search on this site someone shoehorned a zx12r engine into a gpz900 frame - it was well tidy

i think from memory that the ealy zxr750's are easier than the later zx7r to do the conversion on?

I don't remember if it was a conversion that Ben did but I have heard it's easy: http://www.extremecreations.com.au/gallery.asp?View=kaw

"Fiend" now own that bike. Try emailing him or Turbokat about his.

Oh & Tone/Gix the Bitza had a C model motor in it which is a prick to fit ( frame cutting required ).
Although the C motor is 9kg lighter than the B motor.

Mine is a ZXR 750 which is a bit different to a ZX7, for all you need to know about 9 into ZX7, try here.

He uses the BRG kit too but if you have access to a mill you can duplicate it prtty easily.
