Ok people,
Data logging tell me what you know.
I would like to do some additional tuning to get the best out of the drag bike and I may or may not have purchased a NOS spray bar for the BUSA and hoping not to end up lunching the motor first outing.

I have a Innovate MTX Series Digital Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTXL.php and can add a http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lma3.php
and
http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/pl1.php to do what I want but someone may know something better

Looks like your onto a winner bloke plug and play with what you've already got and just about measures and records everything but the "Ass Clench" factor

Woolich Racing.

Guy is in QLD and sells data loggers with auto tune capabilities, is and has been involved with the ECU Editor stuff for years and has started developing his own.

Works with Boostbysmith gear from U.S. also.

He's also very helpful if you strike a problem.

They're on Facebook but otherwise try www.woolichracing.com (http://www.woolichracing.com) his name is Justin.

I've also been using the ECU Editor software and helped me get 274 neddies using standard ECU from B-King with Woolich Data Logger.

You log each run then set the autotune map and flash your ECU, have a look its good stuff especially if you like playing yourself.

I have B-King running Busa program with NOS control, shifter yet to hit the track I missed the last meet!

I also use LC-1 Innovate Wideband Lambda for tuning but chose to go the Woolich way and data logger for final flash.

Cool will do some more reading. Im keen to upgrade to 03 or later ECU ( still tracking down the bits needed) so I can use the ECU editor program

Just get a decent stand alone ecu and get all you require plus more for probably less money than 6 different black boxes

No need Deano.....Woolich software unlocks the ecu and allows you to change anything and store six maps. Plus data logging using sd card for target af ratio etc. Also auto tune functions .

http://www.woolichracing.com/Faqs.aspx

Only for late model Suzukis ,Kawasakis so far and more to come.

Some may remember ecu editor, which is now not being readily supported of which Justin was largely involved with. Since other people moving on, Justin has completely rewritten and redeveloped software and hardware which he actively supports.

After some more reading the Woolich Racing logger won't do what I want for the gen 1 Busa yet they are working on a Logger pro but not available yet, If it was a gen 2 all would be sweet. Thinking I may try The LC1+ kit with a PL-1 . The kit includes includes an LC-1 (http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lc1.php) wideband controller with O2 sensor, plus an SSI-4 (http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/ssi_4.php) multi-sensor interface. Used in conjunction with PL-1 LogWorks (http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/logworks.php), you can record and analyze 5 channels of data. Air/Fuel Ratio, and any four of the following: RPM, Injector Pulse Width, Throttle Position, Driveshaft/Wheel Speed, or Boost/Vacuum. All channels can be configured for external 0-5V or frequency

can you upgrade the puter to gen 2 with minimal effort ?

Don't know yet I know I can go from 16bit to 32 bit easy enough but still can't do everything. Gen 1 to Gen 2 seems like a bit more of a stretch but I am looking to see what can be done

i'm going to get the Innovate LM-2 soon, aparantly it can do some data logging as well.

Work is looking at selling a afr meter with data logging as part of the option kit for the bike dyno ..
ill get some details tomorrow and post it up.
I might have a couple of options for you.

Ill be running a afr meter with data logging as SOON (not some) as I get my hands on one.

These are the specs of what I’m getting, these will be branded in our company name.

This is option 1 (standalone use in harsh environments)
· Complete air/fuel ratio display system with built-in data logging. Includes unit shown above (can’t show you a picture yet), Bosch LSU4.2 5-wire wide-band oxygen sensor, 18x1.5mm weld nut for mounting sensor on exhaust pipe, and software on CDROM

· Versatile tuning aid for all carburetted and fuel injected engines displays air/fuel ratio (AFR)and logs over 2 hours data including AFR, engine RPM, and a spare 0-5V analogue input for sensors such as throttle position or manifold pressure

· Can be used for on-road or dyno testing

· Suitable for automotive, motorcycle, and other small engine applications

· Highly accurate with less than±0.10AFR error over 10.3 - 19.5 AFR range

· Easy free-air calibration procedure corrects for sensor aging effects

· 0-5V analogue AFR output for interface to dyno instrumentation

· Ultra-bright daylight readable blue LED display with automatic dimming under low light conditions

· Wide supply voltage range from11-16V allows operation from battery on small engines or race vehicles without an alternator. Current draw is approx. 1 amp

· Built-in USB interface

· Fully encapsulated with water-proof LED display

· Compact size: 4"L x 2"W x0.5"H

I CANNOT GIVE YOU A PRICE AS YET OR A DATE OF WHEN YOU COULD GET ONE!

There is another option that i'll get some info on later today.
