Tank mount thread repair

After having the bike in pieces for weeks I was finally going to take it out

go to put the tank on

get mad

now this

4450

The threaded sleeve broke away and was spinning so I hacked it off.

The frame's barely 2mm thick so was wondering what I gotta do to get a thread in there?

Was thinking of using a 9mm bolt but I doubt the ally will hold.

It seems I have to get a similar sleeve and weld it in.

They just press in like a rivet

as abouve mate but dont go buying a tool for a job you will only use once.
go to a good hardware shop or somewhere that sells taps n dies and thread repair shit.
buy a couple of nutserts "make sure you get ones that are ribbed " and no not fer her pleasure !!
looks like a pop rivet but with an internal thread of the size bolt you need .

now get an longer bolt and nut the same thread n pitch , and wind the nut onto bolt and then wind the bolt into nutsert.
hold the bolt head with a spanner etc and lossen the nut onto the nutsert !
and crush the nutsert by lossening the nut !!
now you know how to collapse the sert, do it in the frame !! simple method saves buying an tool !!

Thanks all, job done with a few spanners, myself included.
Nutsert was spinning so I held it with the vice to fatten it up then held it at an angle to bite.
