6" rear wheel into a Mk1 / 99 Bandit 1200 ?

Who has done it and how?
What wheel? Arm? Mods needed?

I do have a spare Gen1 Busa arm and a B-King wheel
if I need them but was hoping to use a Gen1 Busa wheel
in a stock (extended) Bandit arm.

Chain, brake lines, brake torque arm are easy.
Any advice on wheel / spindle / cush drive combo's and any
issues with chain alignment or clearance ?

Looking at the clearance between frame and chain,
Tyre and chain, tyre and swingarm, I can't see it
being a major drama. Just hoped someone had already
done it to cut down on my head scratching time and
wasted part buying.

What arm you using Rod ?

Spark maker and a log splitter should do it.
Oh a case of beer and some nigga drugs normally helps too.

Swap the Busa or K series rear wheel bearings for some 6304 from memory which drops to a 20mm spindle size, and then knock up some new spacers and a sleeve for the sprocket carrier.
The B12 disc is the same as the Busa so the B12 caliper hanger works as does the caliper. K series disc is smaller so fit the B12 disc to the K series wheel.
The 1000K5 onwards wheel is a narrower hub than the earlier K series wheel, but does the same bearing and disc swap. I've fitted K series wheels into old Zeds, oil boilers, ZRX, Fireblades with no real issues, the K series running gear swaps really easily

Thanks!

That might be better than my idea.
I was looking at getting Busa drag type adjusters
machined/fitted/welded onto a Bandit arm.
So the front half was Bandit and the rear Busa.

Had a quick measure up today.

Stock wheel with a 180/55 measured up
as 183mm wide.

Roughly 7mm between tyre and chain,
Roughly 7mm between chain and frame.

I now have a spare 6" rear and the 190/55
Pilot Power 2CT on it is close to 198mm wide.

So I have 7mm and 7mm to play with without
looking at a narrower chain or grinding frame
and I only need to find 7mm (or a bit over) in total.

Interestingly the 14's 190/50 Battlax on a 6" rim
measures 195mm

Busa's 190/50 Pilot Power on a 6" came in at 198mm

B-Kings 190/55 Sportsmarts on a 6" came in at 193mm

So it looks do-able and it also looks like I
need to keep an eye on tyre choice if I run things close.
