hay guys. so im possibly getting back into the world of making ugly awesome, but this
time the idea is a buell xb12r. now before i jump into it tell me the pros and cons.
ive been trying to find out:

xb12r motors the same as sportster 1200's? can any internals be interchanged?
can other h#*ley motors be bolted in with ease?
what to look out for when looking at the xb12r in specific.

Mr Whizz your input will be high desired.
now the reason im going buell. 98% of streetfighters are Japanese based bikes in perth.. Ducatis dont count.
and i like the smallness of the buell.

this is only mabbe project depending on if i get the info i need to be happy.

haha tommo , that's awesome i lost all my pics when i changed computers. ive been hiding out, doing my apprenticeship
( got 12 months more) , and organizing wedding etc. now a bike has diverted my attention. im just being real cautious about the next bike i get, need to know that i can get parts for the buell or that engines are tranferable.

Been there myself http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/showthread.php?11124-Why-Shouldn-t-I-Buy-a-Buell/page2&highlight=buell

Loved it. the last models had stronger crank 1000rpm higher red line better oil cooler.

Go the Eric buell racing ecu + the buell racing twin outlet pipe.

Not the Drummer exhaust from America too loud poor quality.

200kph in 4th or 5th ....so they tell me.

A convert at last,
Welcome to the darker side of the dark side, are you really ready for this :-)

As you know I love the S1, its prehistoric and as individual as a Rhino having a root in ya backyard
the later models have a little more finesse but LITTLE is the word

my old man's got an earlier XB12Ss and a mate has a later XB12Ss. the later model is so much better it's not even funny. just a lot better feeling motor. the early one is very harley... by that i mean it feels like a tractor. still great fun, the engine just feels tractory.

The later model has a much more refined feeling engine. It revs higher and seems to make more power, though you still wont be winning any power awards with one.

I would love to have a ride on a 1125 to see what they are like with an even more refined/powerful engine.

Welcome back Funky..miss your smiling face especially when you are pulling an atomic wedgie on poor innocent Munter..to answer your question stud patterns are similar on all the alloy framed models..its the way that the uniplaner rubber mounts attach and work..that may give you trouble so do your homework dude..or else forever hold my piece...oh and make sure your fillings in your teeth are secure as these fuckin things shake rattle and roll..im sure it will look cool if you build it hope to actually see some of you fuckers as it has been centurys since we all got together..
