I'm going by the name Grasshopperman...

Ridden bikes since I was about 4, and grew up on acreage in Sydney's West.. around the Camden area where Mcoy, Miladin and the Goberts are from. Been a pretty good breeding ground for riders.

I raced the Thumpernats back when it was pretty big , on various XR-630's and then raced the first of the YZF's when they hit the market. Stopped racing when I hit 30, sold my dirtbike to my brother and just rode my ZZR1100 around on the streets of Sydney's West.

Cut a long story short - Ive just picked up a really clean VFR750' 95 model.

Ive always loved the sound of the VFR and am embarking on a street-custom build with the help of a good mate who has built some pretty radical bikes in his day... (Harleys, BSA, Triumphs etc). He's looking forward to the challenge ahead , as am I .

So, I'm really excited about the project.
I've been chatting with Hyofighter and he welcomed me here , so thanks for that mate.
I love what he did with his VFR , so Ive been looking closely at his build for ideas and inspiration.

Cheers.

Welcome to the psycho ward Grasshopper.
The best send up of Kung Fu and Grasshopper was of course the Goodies as some of us may remember. Probably their best skit.

Cheers again mate.
Its all about planning I guess.
Knowing how I want it to look - and getting my mate to weave his magic.
He came down from the coast on the weekend and we tossed some ideas around.

Im keen to find out which pipe works best on the VFR - and see what we can do with that.
Really want the pipe/s to run under the seat out the rear , clearing the single-sided swingarm.

Will keep you posted anyway.
Its early days ....
