Hi All

I'm glad to be a part of this community.

I own a K8 Suzuki GSXR 750 which will inevitably be turned into a street fighter. I have a fair idea on what I want done to it, but I'm here to dive into the knowledge base of this site and also to hear your ideas on this build. I have always liked streetfighters, and since the accident, this gives me the perfect opportunity to do so. I have customised cars in the past and into my retro rally cars.

I'm an apprentice motorcycle mechanic and my previous field of work has been in logistics

Picture of my bike.

Let the fun begin.

Thanks

Hi Adam.

Turbo?

I was thinking about it, you can pick up ready to run bolt up kits for about 4k in the UK. If I can get it engineered, I'll seriously consider it.

Why would you want a train driver on it ?

Eng cert maybe?

You only need that is you up the power by a certain% ... So I have been told and hope is true.. I will and can prove my turbo only added 2% power over stock:)

Hi and stuff

Used to be 25% in vic since all the changes at vic roads its all a bit fuzzy. But as long as the same mounts are used (engine swaps) 25% increase in capacity is still alowed so a little boost would most likely to. Emissions is the killer for boosted engines as far as vicroads is concerned. Late model injected motors might be tricky to get passed without an emissions test.

If I was to turbo charge it, I'd have the smallest turbo application on it. The bike is fast enough as it is, forced induction is more of a novelty for a rider like myself.

I Believe 15% increase is the cut off in Vic

The emissions will be an issue if the bike has to comply with emissions when sold new

Engineers wasn't as scared as first thought as once you know what they looks for and how it wotks you just hold with these things in mind
