Caustic soda is what I've uswd historically. My old CR 125M was running like an asthmatic dog. 48 hrs of three changes of caustic soda inside my exhUST TRANSFORMED IT.

can you just sandblast the inside ? A make shift blaster would scour the inside well enough.

Yes mate but 2strokes are oily carbon.
4 stroke tends to be hard deposit.

The pipe is a bit 'curly wurly ' to effectively blast.

From another web site "Chlorinated brake cleaner (tetrachloroethylene) with remove carbon from substrates"

Brass or stiff plastic bottle brush stick it on a bit of old throttle cable outer for a flexable handle to run it through the pipes maybe ?

Most Electroplaters have a decarbonising bath, maybe try one of them?

I used to drop in our caustic tanks which we used for descaling engine blocks and heads etc.

Tank was hot and didn't take long to be totally gone and got in to 99% of all crevices.

find your local Engine reconditioner and ask him to leave in his tanks for the day!
