Hey guys Im just running some string lines over the Zed and have a few(probably stupid questions)

1- my 09 R1 swingarm is an all cocked up shape and is far from symmetricle, does the swingarm need to sit centered to the frame according to its weight?

I assume not as SSSA's have a fuked up shape too,

2- it looks like, to center the wheel to the frame, which I is what I'm chasing. It will need to be offset in the swingarm.
Would that be correct? As long as the wheel and frame are centered all should be good.

I look forward to the discussion this will bring......

Thanks guys.

Run a taut string or a laser line from the centre of your headstock and down the middle of your top frame backbone and extend it along so that it runs over your wheel/tyre. If the line goes down the centre of your wheel/tyre all is good. If not then you will need to bring your wheel in to line with your piece of string/laser so that it does run down the centre of the wheel.Easy peasy, ahem.

i think you forgot one bit Simon... if it doesn't line up off the bat he'll probably have to give the wheels away... I DIBS THEM!

Dummy up with wheel in swing arm and motor in frame to make sure chain alingment is possable might be a good idea. With the frame your using I'd bet it will be no issue , but nice to know before you commit to positioning swing arm and or motor.
