Thought I better say g'day before I annoyed to many people with stupid questions. Haven't owned a road bike for 15 or so years as the day I proposed to my now wife a P plater cleaned me up and killed my Ducati monster. The boss was never happy for me to have a road bike but coming from a family of motorcyclists I used any loophole I could find and started collecting cool old bikes like my Jawa:cool:

Also have a half share in a Hallom boys built GSXR drag bike.

Anyway I have talked the boss into letting me buy a big pile of parts that was once a 1200 bandit and want to build it into a fun daly bike that I can take to hidden valley and hopefully have a bit of straight line fun.

I am 42, live in Katherine nt and can't wait to start my new project

Welcome aboard mate. Are you a speedway fan or do you race?

I inherited the jawa from a uncle who lived for speedway bikes, I did race a fair bit of dirt track but all with 4 wheels. I have allways been a road rider and played around a bit with drag racing street bikes, I have a half share in a mod bike that hopefully will be running this year. Road riding used to be fucking awesome in the nt when we had no speed limit. I regularly went through 75ltr of fuel riding between Darwin and Katherine, only 300km. Riding a bike at full throttle until ya run out of fuel is a crap load of fun.

Old dusty photo. We are going to try and do a bit to it this weekend, hopefully. Just need to make a support for the offset drive and it will be ready for paint and final assembly. Will at least give it a hit with a air gun and take a better pic on the weekend

Lived in the NT all my life mate but never in Darwin, it is just another city and I am not really a fan of city's.

Actually that isn't strictly true, used to have to go to Darwin for trade school but that was really just a month long bender every year.
