i want to do a custom tail on my bike (lowering the front, tail crowl, lights, exhuast and sub frame) what rules do i have to comply with i live in queensland

the usual 'must have a gaurd 45degrees from the axel' will apply, exhaust has to exit behind the most rearward rider,and must be road legal, lights have to be 'e' marked.. i think thats it, but most cops wont bother with most of that, but it looks like ur gona have to pass a roadworthy, so u mite have trobles..

I just used a bit m/cross front mudguard as the rear plastic bit...bolted it to the number plate mount bracket and stuck a reflector on it. This satisfied 2 road worthy testers, here and in Vic

if you are changing the subframe you are supposed to get it mod plated as it is classed as changing the frame. its a fuck around to find someone to do it too.
been consulting with a copper at wynum traffic branch who has been helping me out but it looks like my poor blade will never be legal :(

Rule of thumb in Qld and Vic... Get ya bike straight, stock and legal/rego'd etc first...THEN start modding it...;)
And then don't let ya rego expire.

yep thats it, blades been out of action for 6 months but i still pay the rego on it lol
