Very nice Devo, saw one in pieces in a trader ad a coupla years ago,guy was giving it away.Missed out by 5 mins on picking it up.I remember them wiping the floor with all comers back in the day...bike of the year in all mags in the late 70s.Still look good to.Nice chrome guard!

Good stuff Dave, that's a thing of beauty, how many racebikes do you have now?
Did/do you have any dramas touching that L/H cover down?
I'm with Tone, that front guard looks purty alright but fuck they weigh a ton... helps keep the front wheel down though I spose. ;)

You mean like this and the front gaurd is actually pretty light considering :D
Thing is I may not race it , this just may be the bike to fighter up for me , I was thinking early GSXR750 front and rear end , a good headlight and thats about it whatcha's reckon.
I am gonna try and get it ready for Evans Head Fools Run [8D]

What are them old 750s putting out HP wise Devo?...wouldn't be a staggering figure by todays standards I'd imagine.Just curious.
Tone, they normaly put out around the 70hp we managed to get around 80 odd horse power out of it just by making a few minimal alterations and still with the points ignition.
I would expect a little more maybe now it has the dyna ignition on it.:D
Fuckin Hell...more than I would of thought,cool.
That's pretty much what I reckon my K has.Admittedly I'm finding the K a little wanting at slower speeds but up top the fucker scares the shit out of me...ah well,I'd be a better man for that,eh?

Hey Devo, Wiseco still make an 844cc @ 10.25:1 for the GS
Full house with cams computer says 105hp @11,000 RPM. But you have only got 16mm wrist pins and it may not be wise to go that high. 95HP @10,000 RPM @ 10.25:1, bump up to a bit over 11:1 with a 20 thou head shave and may get
100HP @ 10,000RPM with a good cam and timing.
Dyna ignition and coils gained me 6HP midrange on the 1100 not much on top.

Or the 1000 motor would probly bolt straight in + Wiseco 1100 kit = GS 7/11 [^]

Now if you really knew your stuff you would know that the late Frank 'knarF' Nederhoed's first bike was a GS750 fitted with a GS1000 motor........[:p]
