Techy question...Do engines that are used as stressed members use rubber mounts ?
I'm guessing not but could be wrong.
And if not, would it work if you replaced the rubbers with, say, hard nylon or ali ?
Just looking at another idea on the frame front...

i reckon russ if its got rubber mounts then any vibes would be transmitted thru the frame if u put anything harder in but it may just be annoying vibes...or it could crack stuff
but i wouldnt v thot an engine used as a stressed member would have rubber mounts anyway......

Not sure if my FZR EXUP engine was a true stressed member design but it used bolts from the frame to the side of the motor. Pretty sure the bolts went through a spacer into the motor then where the spacer slides through the frame was a pinch bolt set up that was tightened up last once everything was lined up. Don't think it had any rubber mounts on anything. Try looking up one of the manual web sites to check if the frame you want to use has any rubber mounts on the frame/motor.

To me, not much point in having rubbers on a stressed member (sounds like I'm quoting a porn mag) because the stress or tension would chew through or squash the rubber.

nylon wont work you gotta use reinforced concrete. i can get some strand if you wanna prestress it first then it will be ok.
