Hey guys, some battery fitting advise needed, i am sort of stuck for room, and it would be a real plus to lay my battery on its flat, is this a no no, or can i sealed bandit battery be fitted on its side without side effects to the battery, thanks in advance

I've not seen your battery but if it is the standard one and has an overflow then generally no...Go for a AGM Battery smaller in size per amp and they can be put on their side.

Had same problem and went for gell battery. you can mount these anyway you like, mine is standing on its end. Seemed expensive at first, but its been in there for 7 years now and still going strong, so I cant complain.

I went from a 14ha to an 11ah gel to fit in the r1 subframe on my slingshot. No dramas. Came recommended from some suzuki freaks that have had the same swap for years.

I had the same problem had no room and a slabby takes a big battery, the solution is a YTZ10S same battery as a fire blade, gel type and can be mounted upsidedown if you so wish.

i run an R1 battery on the tiller
it drains a bit cos of my frequent starting habits (commuting)

top it up every couple of months and it seems peachy

wouldnt be a problem on a i4 i dont think
