Trike frame in the UK.
Was being used by the guy's wife,
found when it was stripped down and sandblasted.

Used to see lots of that when I worked on choppers regularly, cover it with a bit of filler, some nice paint and she's all good.
What you can't see can't hurt you:rolleyes:

Excuse my ignorance but aren't there something like progress checks or stage checks to get signed off before bogging or painting? The "weld" will most likely be covered with something eventually so how can anyone verify the integrity? As I said earlier, bit new to bike fabrication. Let the piss taking begin. Lol.

Lol, have to take your word for what yours are like Red. Then again, different states have different rules. I'm guessing if the frame number matches the paperwork then you're good to go. Sounds like the start of another thread, let's not go there. Just stay away from welders with glad wrap masks, muppets.

Holy shit! That guy must not only not have welded before, but must never have seen another weld even. Fuckin' scary!Either that or just didn't care... Some of the bird shit I see the 'leading hand' boiley at work do is unreal, kinda scary as they also get him to weld lifting gear every now and then.

Just as an aside, it looks to me like it was done with a flux core wire feed with the wire speed too high and the amperage too low. There's a lot of metal build up which you don't get so much of with a stick.
Kinda hard to tell though with all the grinding it's had.
