Hi

Can anyone give me mail on braided radiator hose? I expect someone here has it. Is it just a slip over braided sheath? and what about fittings etc.?

Any help would be great.

cheers

Thanks for the suggestions. I know it is blatant bling but i have wanted braided hoses since i was a kid reading Street Machine and now is my chance. I never bothered on the the Speed Triple as it was blinged up with anodized bolts, bars etc. but this bike will be black white and plain alloy so i think it will stop it looking to boring. Horses for courses i guess. I will look into it further as i dont want it to look like cheap shit.

the "real" braided hose
how well does it bend?

The latest (here in Oz that is) Streetfighters magazine has a bike with braided radiator hoses, looks nice and chunky.

Hi i have a line on the braiding. I have spoken to Speedflow Australia and they have genuine stainless braiding and anodized fittings that sit over the hose clamps. There is cheap shit faux plastic stuff you can get and that is why you see some nasty "puffy" looking hoses around. This stuff is the real deal and its price reflects it. 24 bucks a fitting and about 50 bucks a metre for the braiding. Depending on size of course.

For quality braid covering contact Motorsport Connections in seven hills( I haven't got there number handy sorry ) They carry a full range of speedflow & other gear. Definately go the covering for the radiator hoses as full braid hose has very limited flexability when you get into the larger sizes. Also if you go for a good quality covering you won't be able to tell that it's not full braid.

Yep thats who i spoke to. Pretty helpful guys as well. It should be pretty reasonable as a metre will easily do any bike radiator hoses.
