Ok guys i have a new project thank FUCK for that , Tough times hit me awhile back and i sold my bandit to Unicon AKA pete whos a top bloke and it killed me to part with so now im back earning a good quid driving semi trailers again i was on the junt for a project ,

i found the project on my local busa forum its an 07 busa roller , and not much to look at but i have bartered my services for some trick parts as well , needs alot but its a start

3057

i have an RC8 KTM tail unit for it

3058

this is the belly pan i like

3059

this is what inspiried me to do a busa fighter , ive realised all i love is busa's nothing eles matters LMAO
3061

so there you go guys this is a start of a brand new build and i know this will take for ever but im happy to take my time and build it right ,

i dont know what colour yet and i dont know what mask/headlight i want to use either , i know its going to be diffrent to alot of the builds here as im steping out side and taking diffrent view at this build , but i do look foward to all your opinions good or bad ,

cheers guys

a huge thanks to TIM for the roller and Steve for helping me out when he can cheers boys

I've just fitted a similar KOSO dash to my 14.
Easy to do and has some interesting features,
Records too speed and max rev's off the trip counters last run.

I went for the white faced version
and the 12k rev scale not the 20k.

I have the same concern mate, though it might interfere with my dash placement. But I might change the dash to fit in with some aftermarket damper bling. lol

i've got quite a fancy steering damper (matris m4) top mount jobby that didn't fit on my RSV, might work on the bus? I'm looking for a decent side (frame) mount type.

Right o guys here's all the pics ben took of the SSSA conversion into my 07 hayabusa , there's a lot of time and though and expertise that has gone into this conversion , there are a few other little things going on this bike as well , a semi custom BXP top triple clamp that will also work with the top mount damper , and rear axel cover to make it clean ,

22-02-2013, 03:34 PM
A lot more work than I thought would be involved, well done Ben, looks good too.

How much shorter than the original is it ? It will be interesting to see what difference it makes to the handling.

hooligan
22-02-2013, 06:42 PM
Outstanding. I guess that's the reason we don't see many triple arms in Busas?

Are you getting a matching front wheel, Kev?

Redmohawk
22-02-2013, 07:45 PM
Doesn't fit in the hole eh ? No prob a Extreem .

EXBEN
22-02-2013, 07:48 PM
Yeah I'm not in a hurry to do another one, Stu it's 20-30mm shorter now than the stock busa, before I started it was more like 60-70mm shorter & 50mm wider at the pivot, now the linkage connects to the arm in the right spot to give the correct linkage ratio.
The shock wouldn't have fitted if I didn't do some serious mods, & I didn't have to mod the frame at all & it uses all the stock Busa bearings & pivot mounting hardware.

22-02-2013, 08:06 PM
holy wow batman. in the first picture i thought it just looked like it needed to be narrowed down for the busa frame... didn't realise it had THAT much work done to it!

As always Ben i'm in awe of your work and hope that one day i'll have the skills and the gear to do the same type of stuff.

I wanted something different from the usual stuff that's done on fighters , I'm pretty sure that the SSSA is not a common thing done with busa's so I went along that route then it was the triple clamp I wanted something smooth and simple and ben has done a wonderful job and I can show enough appreciation for all that he's done , he's taken what little I had to start with and made it awesome ,

The top mount damper was something that had to make ben scratch his head I bet and a big thanks to trav for selling me the damper mate it's an awesome bit of kit

what colour do you have planned for the bike cos i would suggest painting the block the same colour and then incorporate covers ie clutch/stator to blend in with another colour of the bike
