Hi guys, here are some pics of my gs500 with the new fatbars. since fitting she corners heaps better and because
im sitting more upright I can ride longer and manage to keep my my hand from going numb.
Im not entirely happy yet. I want to put bar end mirriors on and move controls in so i can shorten the bars a little.
The other issue is that front light, its gotta go! but what to choose? I really like dominators but not entirely sure.
So what would you suggest for my bike? I have also been looking at the CFMoto light of the naked 650?
While im here, a full respray is on the cards. I like the colour scheme but am thinking mazda 3 metallic white, matt black frame and black engine with a black and green stripe down the tank and rear faring (the same colours as my helmet) love to hear your thoughts on that too.

I like Dominators.

Folk give them grief because they've been done to death and they are not
a scarey mask or something new and imaginative. I'd still fit them, chuck
some decent bulbs in and be happy. Are you a fashion victim / trend setter
or want to see where your going ?

Found some on ebay pretty cheap was thinking of running 2 sets and make a custom bracket
To mount them on. I was also going to put mini indicators on that bracket so I can change the mirrors
To bar end mirrors. Can you see any issues with that?

I've never used the dominators, but I think you will be hard pressed to beat the light output of an oem (factory style) head light including the one you've got on there, if the one you have is not bright enough then try a brighter bulb in it, a custom surround on your current light would look pretty cool, like what RevHead has done on is Busa. It's almost all in the reflector design.

I'm not sure what light the front is off. It was a 500f so it is possible it was the origional light. I Spose I can find
Out easy enough.( my neighbour has one).

I'm pretty sure it's the stock light, headlights are a hard thing to figure out unless you don't ride at night it's hard to find something that looks good and has a decent light output.

I still like the 1980's budget option.

If you didnt use a bike headlight, it was off to the car-shop
for a pair of Cibie / Hella spotlights.

Very Andy Sparrow / Bloodrunners / Armageddon style.

Cheers for the info I have to do something soon. Used high beam last night and it was actually worse. It's ok when the rd is lit but
I went home via the highway and the light was so bad I had to sit on the white line.

Might be electrical, or maybe the light needs some adjustment.

I've been through 5 different light set ups, i'm happy with it now but i found lights one of the hardest things on my build.

It makes the bike look how you want it to look, if you want scary/tough ... get a mask
If you want to see, get a light off another bike and retrofit
If you don't care get a MX light

I got a few mates with Harleys. One of them runs a set duel lights like dominators but
With a bigger diameter housing. They look sick. I'm sure they're bloody expensive too.
