Anyone good with Racks?

I'm trying to find some information about re racking hayabusa throttle bodies.

What items are likely to be needed?
How much is it likely to cost?
Is it hard to do?

It will depend on whether you are shortening them or widening them as to what parts you need. What are you asttempting to fit them onto?

ZRX1200, I'm trying to get a good idea of how much it's all going to cost though, I've already got a set of zzr11d carbs ready to use but I do prefer fuel injection just for the ease of tuning.
The zrx spacing is 77-85-77 and the busa is 80-80-80, so there's a bit of lengthening and shortening.

Was a set of gpz1100 tb's on the bay of e a few weeks back over in germany, you could have for around $150 . Correct spacing I would imagine. Later ones have the injector in the TB boss early ones have the injector on the head.

Na I'm only interested in using hayabusa tb's as there is a "kit" coming together using the busa harness tb's ecu and sensors.

Fair call, I have a bike or 3 with the same spacing will find a set of busa tb's and look over them to see how quick they can be reset.

Yeah in the link above the guys says $250 for a re rack, then you've got postage and all be interesting to find out how hard it is.

Had a look at a set today , to narrow 3mm shouldnt be a big issue. Castings machined down 1.5mm each between 1 n 2 plus 3 n 4 there is almost enough gap between shafts to just file them a little and bolt it all back together. increasing with between 2 n 3 cyl shouldnt be a biggie a pair of 5mm spacers turned up on lathe and a extention to one tag (or make another from scratch) on shaft.

I'd say In the DIY class if your good with hand tools and happy to take your TB's apart. To get it 100% square a trip to your local machinist to mill the 1.5mm off the bodys and turn up your spacers. With "great care" you could smash it out with good hand tools and get a good result.

Two Gpx600's, Gpz600, Gpz1100 cart motor (34mm keihin carbs).

Dont forget that you will need to make up a longer fuel rail pipe between 2 and 3 tb the ones between 1 n 2 and 3 n 4 can just be shortened.

Always wanted a GPz600 and an 1100.
I remember taking a 600 for a test ride when I was still on my P's, the thing felt like an absolute beast.
Yeah, will most of the pipe etc I need be straight off the shelf (with some cutting)?
My tools consist of bench grinder, grinder, cheap arse drill which is quite shit, bench drill.
Big arse vice which seems to do the job for breaking beads lol.

WHy not look at using the throttle bodies from an injected XJR1300 as the spacings are exactly the same 77-85-77, all you'll need to swap it the TPS, the resistances of the injector itself will not be an issue. You could also look at using the throttle bodies from an injected ZRX, the TPS may well be ok as Kawasaki and Suzuki share a lot of the sensors.

So the XJR will work on the Hayabusa harness with a swap of tps? Is the XJR 36mm?
I'm really after 40's+

In regards to the daeg it's running 34mm and the last set of tb's I saw for sale on yahoo were $700.
The daeg needs to hit the gym.
Or maybe they should Just develop a ZRX14R :D

Another option is GSXR1000 tb's and I could probably use the intake manifolds from the zzr1100 rather then having some custom made.
