So has anyone here had any dealings with this mob from the states http://stores.ebay.com.au/Moto-Madness-Accessories?_trksid=p4340.l2563 ????

I paid for a set of wheels on the 21st of August and thought I'd message them tonight and ask if they had a tracking number for them. (I realise that they probably wouldn't be here yet, but I bought some other bits from the states after the 21st and they have arrived already). I got a message back saying that the wheels were 'made to order' and it was right there in the description....http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/300529165606?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_2160wt_961 thats the wheels I bought, am I retarded ?

I can't (and neither can my mrs) find anywhere that it states 'wheels are made to order'........

It does say allow 1-2 weeks for delivery, but nothing about being made to order. I'd assume that delivery time would be in the US, so maybe that's what they mean (??)

I think they used to be a supplier / member over at Custom Fighters so maybe you can get more info over there.

Thanks mate I'll check it out..... I just recieved another message from them saying that they ship dozens of sets of wheels world wide but Carrozzeria makes them to order and doesn't keep them in stock.... Am I the only one who thinks its a little strange that a wheel manufacturer doesn't keep a stock of wheels they sell ????

Contact the manufacturer directly & let them know the details including the ebay seller etc, Im guessing the manufacturer probably only keeps so many in stock & probably does runs of the same model wheels so they dont have to change the machining setups maybe or they just keep raw wheels in stock ready to anodize more than likely? Then they have to ship them to the ebay seller so it may be out of their hands & just waiting on Carrozzeria

I would have contacted the manufacturer from the start & tried to deal with them directly, Im sure they would have done them for the same price?

The ebay seller has plenty of good feedback so I would not panic too much

What colour did you go for?

Also are they shipping them together in one box (or 2 box's joined together I would imagine) somehow? If they arrive at customs in one box valued over $1000AU you will have to pay import tax, 2 wheels sent separately are valued under $1000AU individually so that would save you some dollars & probably lots of stuffing round & very likely delays there, I have gone through it before & its not fun having your stuff sitting at customs

Anyway you have 45 days after the payment to open a dispute in paypal then I think its 10-21 days after that to clear up the issue one way or the other, I generally open a dispute exactly one month after I make a payment for something similar to this, If they dont get you a tracking number by the 21st at the latest then log into paypal & open a dispute then that will get things happening
Im sure the manufacturer will get it sorted for you before then though

I wouldn't stress about it.

Take into account nothing probably happened for a day, they just had labor day so that's a long weekend.
I'd expect them late next week as USPS Express aint all that and they generally use the 3day ground shipping with parcels to dealers(UPS and DHL are the shit).

If you had contacted the manufacturer they would have referred you to one of the Aussie Dealers on their page, if you contact them now they may have your order cancelled (depends on what exclusivity contracts there are in place, like perhaps they shouldn't be selling them worldwide).

I ship all the time from the US, I'm use to waiting a week for my orders to get put together even though they're rarely special order types.
2 boxes on the one way bill will still get hit with customs, although customs aint the sharpest so they may miss it, or with any luck you've got a good shipper who knows how to work it.

I'm quite sure I've seen something on the zrxoa about people hanging out for their Caro' rims to turn up.

They arrived this morning, fucking chuffed is what I am. I wasn't too concerned about getting them, more pissed at the fact the ad didn't state they had to have them made etc etc...

Top stuff mate. They look sweet and will make a huge change to how the bike will handle.
