welcome mate.

Hyo used to make parts for suzuki i think, but the donk is definitly not the same as the SV donk. apparently it actually has a few advantages over the sv as far as it's construction is concerned.

Were the original Hyo's running a SV?

nah, i think it's just a similar design and because they used to make shit for suzi people just assumed. still it's apparently a half decent donk.

I read some where that suzuki supplied the first hyo motors ,then hyo ,built there own ,using the basic lay out of the sv650 donk for the 2nd model of the hyo650

thats the same as saying look at a crf50 and look at a pit bike motor just because they look the same on the outside doesnt mean they are of the same quality inside talk to hyofighter about them his spent more time getting fixed than actual riding

oh and welcome aboard mate

No its like saying the two have the same motor, at least the FI ones anyhow...
Hyo is a contract manufacturer. They have been under contract to make MANY different parts, including complete engines, for big name manufacturers for years.
bikes Hyosung are making under their own name are simply proprietary or contractually similar designs to something another company bought from Hyosung...

Bloody do pics Mark!
