Got it cheap off a mate, with 12mths rego.

I can't ride much anymore, but I wanted something to putt-putt around on when my leg is up for it, and to drag along to NFR

Plans is just to do a basic cafe racer type dealio, using this as inspiration:

Thanks heaps to LKC for helping me pick it up, absolute champion.

No problem Sen, and I look forward to working with you to get it to NFR.

Thats tidy! All Id do would try and source some headers and a pipe and put braided lines on it. Pods and a rejet and enjoy that classic

GSX not GS ?

Yep. I had both. GS had 2 valves per cylinder and GSX had 4 valves with a bit more horsepower. Looks really clean, good score. They handle suprisingly well with decent shocks and tyres. Will make a great Cafe Racer.

After 30 years most of them are f#cked about with bitsa's.

The square cam cover ends shout out GSX
as does the tank and tail.

Anti-dive forks, front guard and headlight
dont look like GSX though.

GSX750 with a different front end ?

Yep, it's a GSX. Is just me or does the tank look small?
Hey Sen, if you do Cafe it, I'll buy the original exhausts.
I've even got a 4 - 1 we could do a deal with.

Yeah deffo GSX the GS didn't have twin swirl combustion chamber (TSCC on the ignition cover) and yeah the front end has been swapped as the original had the rectangular headlight like the 1100 ET. Also the instrument console looks as though it might be off the later 11 ES. Nice bike though and definitely looks like it'll be a bit of fun.
And I don't think it is just you TK, the tank does look a little bit small not quite the boxy look of the 24l tank.

The 1981-83 GSX750E Japanese model and probably Europe had a different shape tank, round headlight, anti dive forks and different clocks.

Bingo. Looks pretty much like a stocker except for the paint, bars and mirrors.

Sorry not sure exactly what model it is, the rego says 81 GS750E but yeah, looks like the GSX750E in the above link.

I'll check the VIN etc and see if there's any more info on it.

I'm taking LKC up on an offer and the bike will be getting his magical touch for NFR. Nothing too wild (for now :P)

Well due to a decline in my health/illness (hence my disappearance around here lately)... this bike will be for sale.

It's pretty much finished thanks to the awesome work of Luke (LKC).

It could do with new exhausts and rear shocks, and the front brakes stick but I'm going to get that fixed before it's sold.

It has rego etc.

I'll post a for-sale thread soon when I can get outside and take some pics of it. Open to offers if anyone reads this.

Best pic i've got on the computer so far:
