View Full Version : WANTED Head light for 80's Z 1000

As the the title says I'm chasing a headlight for my 81 Z1000. Needs to be the rectangle one approximately 8 inch X 5.5 inch. I have the fairing for it but not light or bracket.

I'd be looking at what else was a similar size and make it fit.

Kat ? GSXET ? GT550/750 Kwaks ? Yam XJ9 ?

I know in the UK folk use to buy cheap brand new rectangle
headlights from the Ford Escort / Capri etc for some bikes.
Waaay cheaper, made by the million and kept in stock.

If it's the same dimensions as a 1980 Suzuki GSX 1100 ET then I believe that a headlight from an early Toyota MR2 Mk 1 I believe is a direct swap

I've got a rectangle GSX job here Ice, I got it off Sharky but haven't used it. If you can find out if it fits, it's yours.
BTW - A Pop-update (see what I did there?) is due mate.
