Alright Lads, I just back from ALDI and it looks like they are having another round of Bike Gear. This round according to there catalogue has got a few different varities of Bike Stands / a cover / loading ramps and tie downs. The one item that caught my eye is the Motorcycle Transport Stand which is $70 bucks. Might be worth a look. Here is the link to the newest catalogue.

My misses is a manager at aldi , get in quick it usally moves quick. The transport stand not to bad (had a look over one already) but could do with a additional angle on the top/front. cheap for what they are though. Helmets seem ok for a cheapy.

Not normaly a fan of Aldi gear, but .........

Called in this morning and grabed an Aluminium Ramp,
a Paddock Stand and a Transport Stand.

Quality isnt as bad as I expected.
Put the Busa up on the 2 stands and its very solid.
Certainly bottom end of the market but if your on a budget
or just want them as spares / back up's they're not bad.

The paddock stand came with wide and narrow main sections
and 3 different types of pick-up's.

The Transport stand seems OK and came with extra bolts to
fit it to a ute or trailer. (works fine on garage floor though)

Ramps only rated at 200kg but I jumped up and down on it
and it seemed pretty solid.

I got a stand as well, came just at the right time as I need to do a front wheel swap on the monster. Got there at opening time I reckon they would have sold out in 15 minutes.

I'm hanging out to relocate back to civilization where I can go get these items instead of paying premium prices and ridiculous shipping prices to NT.

Some courier companies drive through Katherine to get to Darwin, but because there isn't a depot, you have to drive to Darwin to collect it....

Just a heads up on the aldi "Kevlar" jeans guys , Seems they may not have "Kevlar by Dupont" in them take a look at this (off FB apparent 40 km/h off caused this damage)

How much were the jeans?

I thought those jackets were a bit sus too (leather I think) they had them listed as having ce rating, whilst this is common on armour it's a rarity on the jacket

That photo has a knee slider under the hole. I'd say he has given it a serious work out. Not saying they are any good (you get what you pay for), but I don't think a knee slider under the jeans and one contact point for 50+ metres would work out very well for any of the kevlar jeans brands would it?

Don't you wear jeans over your Leathers Si, it's what all the kool kids are doing these days....

If its was 3 layers of "Dupont kevlar" it should have held up to a 40 km/h slide , my plain 12 oz jeans held up better at a lot more when I was sliding (on my knees) through a cross road at considerably more than 40. Still have the scar on my right knee.

Whats the problem, the leg looks like its still alive.... probably not even a trophy scar on the knee...
Just dont fall off your bike and youll be fine ;)
