Feels tight and sweet. Need to finish a few loose ends, just wanted to ride it first. Need to trim front gaurd, paint front wheel sort rear brake res, paint tail unit, paint frame etc etc.

Once I get some decent tyres on there I am going to thrash the piss out of it. I have ridden a handfull of brand new bikes lately and the old oil boiler feels just as nice, a little heavier but not much. Having 3 adjustments at each end (4 with my height adjuster at the back) means I can set it up to suit me. Bike will have a powder/satin frame and maybe gloss black body?? I wanted to make the bike look retro with the paint.

After riding around for a couple of days I have decided to rebuild it back to standard............nah.

It handles fucking nice, still getting used to it. No real dramas except the gsxr 600 k4 cush drive crept accross about 5 mm. easy fix. A track day is called for I feel. I will start looking for a fairng soon.

Yep on the clipons staying. And the r1 04 to 06 are the same bike. I chopped the subframe down any how. It would look spastic to graft it on with the original yamaha mounts.
