I need a small steering damper for the front of the busa, the stock one is huge. They have a few cheap ones on ebay but I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone had one laying around before I give the Chinese my cash.

I'm looking for something around 20 - 25mm round and about a 300mm stroke. The one on the Tuono looks about right but I haven't pulled it off the check....yet.

I might have figured out how to swap the damper to behind the forks, if this works it'll be easier.

I reckon 270 - 300mm x 20-25mm is the go. It must have a adjustable mount on the cylinder though. I can get a Chinese one on Ebay for about $50, anyone bought one of these ? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/220894392809?ssPageName=STRK:MEBOFFX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1432.l2649#ht_3576wt_1163

I was going to give it a run without one, it'd probably be fine for the street but I've had too many head shakes on other bikes doing the drags that I'm not game enough to run without one down the strip. If I can't find what I want I'll probably just drop the light off for the drags and bolt the stock damper back on.

I like the look of the ones between the tank and the bars and am trying to get a price on one of those, they are indicating between $400 - $600 which is a little out of my budget at the moment.

I could use a longer one of about 400mm with a 100 - 120mm stroke and take it from the fork to the bolt hole near the front engine mount, so there are a few options, I should be able to get one on that doesn't interfere with the headlight unit I've chosen.

Done the drags, chased Sportsbikes around the dam's hundreds of times,
Tourer two-up, clowned about plenty. Never had a drama.

Done........I'll put the money into something else then...like a coolant bottle
