Mask / German style headlight. How good are they?

What kind of light output can i expect? I like the style but I need to have good light for the every so odtennight ride.

Better to go for the ones with 2 round holes to be able to fit projector lights? Does the mask throw a lot of shadow?

the fiberglass german products ,i bought were the best quality, the head light was shite ,couldnt see past my front guard ,i used projectors as well ,total shite , and the projectors cost me a further $140 and the maker said great beam ,seriously get a h4 light for both sides as projectors only have one beam not hi lo, if you do buy projectors you will have to wire one directly in to be on all the time ,and wire the 2nd to hi beam but here lies the problem when you flick to hi beam the first lite will turn off, good luck Jules

Yeah I need to make sure I have good lighting, otherwise I will have to change my mind.

I know Ben sells some projector light similar to what he used on Judge. I wonder what the light output and spread of beam is?

Yea, the lights in mine are shite. Can't (don't need to much anyway) ride at night. Replace them with some good ones. Supercharger used CBR250 stock lights set into his german unit. Works a treat.

I think i have some hella projectors here, and they seem to throw a nice beam across my driveway in the dark, but never ridden with them at night.
If you search ebay for those Can am Spyder headlights, them come up cheap,i got mine for something like $30 + postage.
I still have them hidden away in my garage somewhere, but i think i butchered up the frame around them that adjusts the height of the beam,to fit them in my alloy frame!!!

These are cheap for what they are (build quality isnt the greatest but passes) I have a pair from the same mob in a oval design and the light output is fair to good for a Hid setup. At the price including ballast (normally about $55 for a pair for ballast) The high low setting is just a arm that blocks part of the light in low beam.

I'll be getting a pair at that price , the last lot i got cost me $79 for a pair without ballast.
