Has anyone removed the steering damper of a K4 Gixxer 1000? If so, has it made a big difference?
I know that since it comes out with a damper as standard, then you should probably leave it on or maybe relocate it elsewhere.
Otherwise I might try to see if I can still fit a headlight close to the forks with it still in place

A tank slapper at 200 plus isnt fun, ask an aquantance of mine mark. All was fine with it (dampner) off till he went over a "little" rise under power and the front was a smidge light at around 180 - 200 then he pulled over and walked like a duck as he had shit himself. I didn'ts see the incident as I was to far behind but from the way he rode home after wiping his ass on grass out in the padock I'm guessing he didnt want to do it again.

Yeah I had it happen to me on my Hornet 600 years ago. I was going slower but still did a couple of 100 metres jumping on the handlebars trying to stop the shaking.
Scared the fuck out of me. Next day I went to buy a damper
