Easy question for some of you.

How big can I go in the rear of a GSXR1100G Slabsider,
(without cutting the frame or running a wheel out of line!)

Im pretty sure the answer is 5.5" rim with a 180 on it ?
..but i'd rather know now than later.

Thank you.

I'm running a 6 inch GSXR1000K5 rear wheel in a 1000K2 arm fitted into a 750 slabby frame, with no big dramas regarding chain alignment

Really ?

I'll re-do my measurements.

I've seen lots with 180/5.5" and remember a write up where
Dodge had had a frame cut and shut to take a bigger rim,
I thought there'd be more drama to it.

Thanks, I'll go back and have another look.

The GSXR1000K5 onwards wheel is narrower at the hub than the earlier K1/4 wheel. I've used a 1000K2 arm with the 1000K5 wheel in the 750 slabby frame, and it required a 20mm thick spacer between the caliper hanger and swingarm to take up the difference.
On my Z/GPZ1170 MadCow I'm running a 1000K4 wheel, to get this to work I machined the webs of the sprocket carrier down, and machined the internal webs on the hub, and narrowed the cushdrive rubbers and turned the internal spacers down to allow the sprocket to sit tighter to the wheel by 12mm.
